Starting April 15, 2019, Telekom Romania will rise the prices of its fixed and mobile services due to the new 3% revenue tax introduced by the Romanian Government through GEO 114 (OUG 114).
Telekom Romania’s message:
“Telekom Romania’s all efforts to strengthen the company’s commitment to the local market can be translated through continuous investments in networks and development of innovative and relevant commercial offers for the customers.
However, as a result of the increase of costs associated with the provision of communications services, Telekom Romania is constrained to increase the price for all portfolio services (fix and mobile) addressing residential and business customers, starting April 15, 2019.
In a highly dynamic industry, such as communications, Telekom Romania is making continuous efforts in order to provide high quality services, at competitive prices, adapted to the customers’ needs and constantly invests in the fixed and mobile networks development, thus providing its customers with state-of-the-art technology.
Also, the company’s #Netliberare commercial offers stand for Telekom Romania’s strong commitment to the local market and to its customers that can enjoy services starting 5 euros, Unlimited 4G Internet bonus, no minimum contract period. Moreover, according to P3 results, customers can benefit from a very good mobile network and 4G coverage in 99.5% of urban population and 93% in total population.
Also, according to Deutsche Telekom’s most recent survey on customer satisfaction, the satisfaction and value-for-money index among Telekom Romania customers registered a significant increase for both fixed and mobile services.
However, as a result of the increase of costs associated with the provision of communication services, we have to adjust the communication service tariffs in our portfolio. Even in this context, our customers will continue to benefit from high quality services, at competitive prices.
The price for each fixed service (fixed voice, Internet, TV) and each mobile subscription for the residential customers will be increased with 0.42 euro, VAT included (0.35 euro no VAT), namely approximately 2 lei, starting April 15. This increase does not apply to television options, handsets instalments or fixed equipment rents.
Business customers will receive a written notification announcing changes in their contracts, as well.
At the end of 2018, the company reached 200,000 customers for the Freedom portfolio and invested 200,000 euros in supporting 10 Romanian companies that changed the rules in their industries.
We recall that Telekom Romania was the first operator to revolutionize the telecommunications market by introducing the #Netliberare offers without minimal contract period.”
