“Street Fighter II” hits the streets with Apple’s ARKit

As augmented reality games are becoming more and more popular, more and more games are transposed to the AR.

The famous Street Fighter franchise gets into the real world on iOS through Apple’s ARKit platform, so for now only those with iPhones can enjoy the new game: Street Fighter II: Real World Warrior Edition.

And it goes into multiplayer as well. Two iPhone users can actually fight in AR in the same spot in multiplayer. But the movements of the characters are far below expectations and as good as ARKit, they are still not perfectly integrated with the real world surroundings.

Still, it’s interesting to see Chun-Li and Cammy or Ryu and Guile throwing punches and kicks on the streets, among pedestrians, or in the parking lot.
