It seems that Sony’s next flagship will be the Xperia XZ Pro, as was the Xperia ZX Premium last year at the MWC 2017 edition.
The Xperia XZ Pro is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, in Barcelona. Some unofficial information have popped on the web in the mean time revealing the specs and the alleged price for the phone.
It looks like it will have a 5.7-inch 4K display, with very thin bezels and a slightly taller shape, a hint for an 18:9 aspect ratio.
under the hood, a Snapdragon 845 processor is expected, which will powered most of this year’s flagships, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The main camera will have two sensors, 18MP and 12MP, while the selfie camera will have a 13MP sensor.
Last but not least, the phone will be powered by a 3,420mAh battery and will be waterproof and dust-proof, as the phone has IP68 certification.
As for prices, rumors in China suggest that the price for the local market would have been set at 6,000 yuan, or around 931 dollars or 760 euros.
The most important thing, though, is whether Sony will abandon its old design or it’ll choose to come up with a totally different looking smartphone than the models launched in recent years.
