Sony Xperia XA succesor gets FCC certification

- Adrian Ungureanu

It seems that we might get to see a successor for Sony’s Xperia XA sooner than we expected, as a mysterious smartphone just passed FCC certification, which means it has the green lights for the North American markets.

The phone is said to be powered by a MediaTek P20 chipset, and will feature a 21MP back camera. A smartphone with similar specs was just spotted on GFXBench with the codename “Pikachu”, where it listed a 5 inch 720p display and 3GB of RAM.

There is no certain confirmation that this device that passed FCC checks is the Sony Xperia XA successor, but it’s nice to think that it is.
