Samsung’s subsidiary in Germany has already put the Galaxy S9 support page online, which is a confirmation that Samsung’s upcoming flagships are on their way, and we also the to confirm that there will be Dual SIM versions in Europe.
The SM-G960F / DS model number appears on the support page and that means there will be a single SIM model, the SM-G960F (the F at the end is for the region it’s released) and another Dual SIM – SM-G960FDS.
Three or four years ago, the Dual SIM versions of smartphones in general, not just Samsung’s, were best suited to Asian countries, but in recent years, Samsung has also brought the Dual SIM versions to the Old Continent, too. In North America as well.
Let’s see if Samsung will go for a Dual-SIM Hybrid recipe or if they’ll put a separate slot for the microSD card. Because on hybrid trays, when you put a memory card, you have to take a slot for a SIM card and then the phone loses its Dual SIM capabilities.
Samsung has officially confirmed that the new Galaxy S9 will be presented on Feb. 25 in Barcelona, the day before the official debut of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.
