According to GlobalWebIndex study, the world’s largest survey on digital consumers which for the first time includes data from Romania, 52% of Romanian digital consumers use three or more devices to connect to the internet, while 27% of online Romanians use voice search. The number of people who own a Smart TV is equal to those who own a tablet.
Furthermore, almost a third of surveyed Romanians users (28%) have used their mobile phone to scan a QR code and slightly more (30%) used the same device to purchase a product or service.
Gaming is really attractive for connected consumers in Romania, while e-sports is on the rise. Thus, 50% are interested in gaming and 54% use gaming apps. Moreover 17% of Romanians own a gaming console, their top three favourite games being: FIFA, Need for Speed and Mario, while one fifth of them have watched an e-sports competition online.
The 10th edition of the GlobalWebIndex surveyed more than 110.000 people in over 40 markets and for the first time includes data about Romanian digital consumers, based on Starcom and Zenith media agencies consolidated efforts to make this global study available for the Romanian market.
