Microsoft’s Corporate VP: Windows Phone no longer our focus

- Adrian Ungureanu

Microsoft failed to make it on the smartphone market. Their partnership with Nokia when the Finish brand was still pretty hot didn’t helped them to make the Windows Phone more popular as Android and iOS were gaining momentum fast.

They didn’t make it as a smartphone maker, because the Lumia smartphones weren’t popular when they decided to buy Nokia’s mobile business. They haven’t launched any smartphone for almost three years now and despite rumors about Microsoft working on a Surface smartphone are becoming more and more fairy tails.

That because Joe Belfiore, Corporate VP at Microsoft, former program manager for Windows Phone just tweeted that that new features and hardware for Windows 10 Mobile “aren’t the focus anymore” for the company.
