Speculations, rumors and reports about the prices for Apple’s anniversary iPhone have started since the beginning of the year, most of them indicating prices in excess of $1,000.
The latest report about this matter by the New York Times, claims that the price for iPhone 8 will by “around $999”. As the guys at 9to5mac have noted themselves, it’s real weird. I would add that “around” is usually used alongside a more round number, like 1,000, 1,100, 900. ou get the idea.
Anyway, we most likely speaking about the starting price and that’s not good news. Because that would be the price for the “cheapest” variant, the iPhone 8 with the smallest internal storage capacity. Latest rumors suggest iPhone 8 will get 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB internal storage options.
So, taking in consideration that usually the iPhones are $100 more expensive for every storage increment, then we can assume that the 512 GB variant will get a price tag “around $1,199”. Exciting, right?!
