Supercell presented its financial report for 2016 that showed strong results but they didn’t go over and detailed what their mobile game Clash Royale performed in its first year.
Luckily, research company, Sensor Tower revealed that Supercell title that was released on March 2, last year reach the $1 billion mark in revenue, in less than a year.
If Sensor Tower’s data are correct we see no reason for Supercell not to brag about the achievements of its game, because it generated almost have of its total revenue in 2016. Supercell reported $2,3 billion in revenue during calendar year of 2016.
Clash Royale maintained its position as a top earner throughout 2016, even in the presence of rival Pokémon Go, which also generated more than $1 billion in its first year.
