Adobe Romania exceeded 600 employees and has 100 new positions available this year

Adobe Romania, with 13 years presence on the local market, exceeded this month the 600 employees milestone and has 100 open positions for recruiting new team members. The present open positions target is attracting mostly technical and software engineering talent.

The products we work on have global impact, which brings technical challenges that the best people on the market are looking for in their projects, but also the responsability to millions of clients who use them” –says Cris Radu, Sr. Director of Engineering and Site Leader Adobe Romania.

Adobe Romania is the largest Adobe Research & Development center from EMEA, with local teams specialized in Cloud Computing, Big Data and graphic design solutions. The products developed by Bucharest teams are leaders on their market niches and are part of Digital Experience and Digital Media divisions of Adobe.

„The experitize and knowledge we bring in the local team allowed the Bucharest campus to develop towards Cloud Computing and Big Data and also to bring and keep in Romania the development and research of recognized Adobe products, such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Advertising Cloud, Adobe XD, Adobe Experience Platform. Our engineers have the opportunity to inovate and work with new and interesting technologies and interact with international top clients. The 100 open positions are for juniors, as well as seniors, which ensures an ideal mix of skills for software product teams” adds Cris Radu.

90% employees retention rate, maintained by the projects, work environment and benefits
The employees retention rate in Adobe Romania is close to 90%, a high score compared to the Romanian IT market average, as well as to other Adobe sites.

Currently, Adobe Romania team has 30% female members and the average age of employees is 33 years, while the average tenure in the organizations is 4 years.

We estimate that in Romania the percentage of women in tech positions is under 15%, which leads to imbalance and creates a pool of untapped talent that IT firms need to increase productivity and innovation, especially in software product teams. Beyond its organisation culture oriented to diversity, Adobe collaborates with the Polytechnic University in Bucharest with actions taken to attract girls towards technical faculties, as well as with women organisations, with whom we develop events for women in IT community” explains Cris Radu.

With the development of the team, Adobe Romania extended the office space in Anchor Plaza with one more floor, reaching 7700 square metres on 5 of the 12 building floors. By extending the office space and the new design, Adobe Romania created 140 new working stations for future employees.
