Youtube to place movies or TV shows under the subscription service umbrella

Youtube is planning to add movies and TV shows under the umbrella of its subscription service, with the purpose of protecting the streaming rights of studios and production companies.

The executives of Youtube will take into account the video content that are not available on other platforms besides the Red service, or content that cannot be found anywhere.

This decision has been made mainly with the aim of pursuing the public and the spectators to pay money for Red subscription, even if they are already paying for TV shows on Netflix, Hulu, or other televised platforms. For 2016, Youtube has already planned a list with original and licensed shows.
