Yahoo has been on a remarkable shopping spree lately. After acquiring Tumblr for 1.1 billion dollars, rumours talk that the online giant has closed another big deal. It’s Hulu – the tv and movie streaming service. Reportedly, the sum of acquisition is between 600 and 800 million dollars, but this doesn’t take into account all the royalties and such that Yahoo will owe to media sharks Fox, ABC and Comcast.
Honestly, we’re pretty curious how an image-based microblog could turn out much more valuable than a streaming platform, but congrats to Yahoo if they manage to beat DirecTV and Time Warner Cable in racing to the highest bid.Source: The Verge
