It seems that Xiaomi has come up with an working Mi Mix 2 as a new ”Xiaomi MIX” smartphone was spotted at Geekbench. Most certainly is the new Mi Mix 2, as Xiaomi has no other smartphone series using the ”Mix” moniker.
As usual Geekbench isn’t very generous in information, but we get to confirm the phones existence, its processor, RAM and operating system. So, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset, with octa-core processor, clocked at 1.9 Ghz and 6 GB of RAM. The model tested was running on Android 7.1.1.
To this specs we could add the ones suggested by previous rumors like an 6.4-inch Quad HD (2,540 x 1,440px) AMOLED display, 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage options, a dual camera at the back with 20 MP and 13 MP sensors and a 4,500 mAh battery.
We’ll have to wait for Xiaomi to run Mi Mix 2 on GFXBench and/or AnTuTu which reveals information about storage, display and camera, too. We shouldn’t have to wait to long because smartphone makers run their phones through all the important benchmarks in a relative short period of time.
