Microsoft boasted that 279 apps have been uploaded to Windows Store daily across March. Such an uprising was last seen in November which saw 468 apps being uploaded daily. Thanks to the latest activity, the Windows Store has reached its 50 000 apps milestone 4 months after debuting.
Microsoft has done a decent job of attracting developers to code for their devices. Their pockets still run deep. Each developer gets $100 for every app uploaded in Windows Store and Windows Phone Store. The limit is 10 apps which amounts to 2000 dollars. Not bad for a startup.
Microsoft’s services are developing fine, but they have a big race ahead to catch up with App Store and Google play, which are way above the 500 000 apps mark.Source: SlashGear
