Vivo is among the tech companies present at CES 2018, in Las Vegas, and it’ll unveil a smartphone featuring an in-display sensor, as the Chinese company officially teased this.
It wouldn’t be the first time when Vivo is present at a tech show with an in-display reader smartphone though. Last summer they offered support for Qualcomm’s in-display fingerprint reader at MWC Shanghai 2018, but that was just a prototype.
Now, we expect a smartphone that will actually go on the market. The company posted an image hinting to smartphone that will have the fingerprint reader everybody was expecting back in 2017.
It’s not clear if they will use Qualcomm’s tech or the new fingerprint reader from Synaptics that entered mass production last month. We tend to thing is the one from Synaptics. The unveiling is said to be held tomorrow January 10th.
