US owners of Lumia 920 and 820 receive first major update

Yesterday Nokia began the US rollout of the first major update to their Windows Phone 8 powerhouses – Lumia 920 and 820. The update is available over the air and features promised by Nokia changes such as better messsaging, more effective Bluetooth, improved and more reliable boot sequence (presumably of those rare crashes on startup that were reported among users of Lumia 920). Lumia 920’s much touted PureView camera has received some attention as well, specifically regarding daytime photos – they should be clearer now. You can also reject calls wia SMS.

The global rollout will begin sometime in February 2013, and there are no news as of yet for those Lumia 822 and 810 users.
