Apple smartphone sales of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus seem to be rather disappointing in comparison with their predecessors and the latest reports say iPhone fans might’ve kept themselves for this years models.
The poor performance in sales was first explained through the lack on innovation and the similarity in design with the iPhone 6 and 6S generations. That’s a true fact, but in the same time we have to take in consideration the fact that rumors about the anniversary iPhone came out since last year.
Talks about how awesome iPhone 8 will be might have convinced many iPhone fans to wait another year to change their old smartphones from Apple. The latest report published by comScore shows a rather small market share for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The dominant models are the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, followed by the iPhone 5/5S/5C models and the Plus variants of iPhone 6 and 6S generations.
Being so many iPhone users that have older iPhones analysts says that millions of iPhone users might fuel this year’s supercycle. It’s a good thing that Apple prepared itself to produce at least 100 million iPhone in the second half of this year when the American company will start producing iPhone 7S, 7S Plus and the much anticipated iPhone 8. The last one might be everybody’s favorite. Hopefully it will be the smartphone that everybody dreams about and not the unimpressive model to whom latest rumors refer to.
