Twitter wants more active users by making its homepage visible to all people


When a social network like Facebook manage to have over 1.5 billion monthly active users, other social network with only 360 million active users per month, like Twitter, try all their best to attract and to keep new users and people that randomly access the site.


So, Twitter now makes its experimental homepage visible to all the web users that access the social network without being logged in. This way, those people will immediately and rapidly will see what the site is all about and what it has to offer, with the hope from Twitter that those people will actually sign up for an account eventually.


Twitter thinks that displaying celebrities’ accounts and tweets about the most important or popular events is the solution for users that are interested in this kind of info will become active and will increase the numbers mentioned above.
