Google is supposed to release the second generation of its Pixel devices in the fall, but this year we expect to see not two, but three devices.
Rumors about a mysterious third device that Google is working on have appeared since March and it received the codename ”Taimen” a large species of fish native to Mongolia, which suggested that it may be a tablet.
Its existence was only a speculation until now, as a Google Taimen device was spotted in Geekbench’s listing. Unfortunately we don’t get to much information about it, only the processor, RAM and the OS it’ll run.
Taimen has a octa-core 1.9 GHz processor, which means that it may only be a Snapdragon 821 and not SD 835 as previous rumors suggested. The device found on Geekbench has 4 GB of RAM and it runs Android 8.0 O (purportedly Oreo), the next Android operating system that will be released this year.
