The Galaxy S4’s battery has proven itself reliable

GSMArena has finished testing the Galaxy S4’s battery. The results are not mindblowing, but are quite adequate for a 5-inch 1080p kingpin. The S3’s successor endures 13 hours and 53 minutes of talk, 8 hours and 42 minutes online browsing and 10 hours of video playback. All of this has been achieved in real-life usage conditions which speaks well of Samsung‘s flagship. The RAZR MAXX is still the unmatched champion of endurance, and HTC One and the iPhone 5 achieve close, if slightly better results, but the S4 has a bigger screen to feed than any of the three. According to our collegues, the 2600mAh will last for an overall three hours of usage daily for three days in a row without a charge.

Sony’s Xperia Z manages to outlast the Galaxy S4 by a hefty three hours, but it has a more modest previous generation Snapdragon chipset.
