According to japanese media MacOtakara, Apple are readying the fifth generation iPad and second generation iPad mini for as early as March next year, only five months after the previous products were launched. The new iPad will take some design cues from the iPad mini, resulting in a lighter and thinner tablet. Perhaps Apple have found a way to shrink the components even further. As for the second-gen iPad mini, a higher-res screen and A6X CPU are to be expected.
If all of this is true, and we remain sceptical, Apple have forwarded their product cycle from 1 year to six months and will release new products twice an year. Maybe this is their way to combat the Android tablets from every range and calliber flooding the markets. And their clientelle’s money.
