Shazam’s new update offers information on merchandise and other commercial products

Besides music, movies, TV shows or commercials, the latest Shazam update can now identify various commercial products, such as books, magazines or other merchandise available at stores. All you have to do is to open the app on your iPhone or Android device, to turn on the camera and to point it at the product for some more information about it.

 

Until now, Shazam works with Disney, Levi’s and Harper Collins, with more brands to come on the list. The update’s purpose is to facilitate the customer-firm connection and to offer more information about a product on which you can’t find out details just by looking at it.
