The Exynos 5 Octa never really took off, with various overheating and stability problems to blame. Samsung countered the uncomfortable situation with Qualcomm CPU’s in their Galaxy S4, and quietly started patching up the otherwise promising chip. Now it looks like they are ready to unveil a working octa-core CPU, and this comes just in time before the Galaxy Note 3 launch this September.
Thus, next week Samsung will announce the Exynos 5 Octa Evolved. There aren’t any details available, though Samsung will spill the beans on the frequencies, gfx cores and other technicalities in just a few days. Maybe the Galaxy Note 3 will ship with the reworked Octa-core CPU along with the Snapdragon 800-based model.Source: GSMArena
