Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Tab S2. The device is available in two versions – 9.7 – inch and 8 – inch, and the company claims that these are the most – their light and thin devices.
“Galaxy Tab S2 is not only our most – thin and light tablet, and gives users quick and easy access very many features,” said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung.
Let’s do a quick overview of the specifications of the device. Eight – core processor (1.9GHz, 1.3GHz), 8 – inch Super AMOLED display and a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. In terms of memory, Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has two expandable options – 32 / 64GB, 3GB RAM, and battery is 4000 mAh.
Tab S2 8.0 has an 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, weighs 265 grams and has a thickness of 5.6 mm.
Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is 9.7 – inch Super AMOLED display, 5870 mAh battery and a weight of 389 grams. The rest of the specifications are the same as in the 8 – inch version. Both versions of the device support WI – Fi or both WI – Fi, LTE technology, fingerprint sensor and multitasking.
The company said that after a month tablet will be available globally, but still do not know what it means.
