2018 does not seem to be a year for Samsung to make any drastic changes in the design of its smartphones. It did not do it for the new Galaxy S9 and S9+, and it doesn’t seem to do so with Galaxy Note 9 either.
That is suggested in the latest render leaked on Twitter and it’s so well done and so plane that we think it is very possible that it could be the final design. Usually, amateur designers are working their imagination to bring futuristic renders, but this doesn’t seem to be the case this year.
In addition, 2019 is the year that will count the most for Samsung because it will celebrate 10 years since the launch of the first Galaxy S. And in recent years, the Galaxy Note models were only larger and somewhat better equipped variants of the Galaxy S series.
That’s the feeling we get this year too. Note 8 was a squarish version of the Galaxy S8+, and Galaxy Note 9 most likely will a squarish version of the Galaxy S9+.
The leakster who posted the render on Twitter, Ice Universe, which has a pretty decent record, noted “Samsung was lazy in 2018 and I concluded that Note9 will not change much. This is just a small adjustment to Note8”. So there aren’t any big expectation when it comes to design.
