Samsung seems to be boosting with confidence after the latest reports from South Korea with its new smartphone flagships, the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
The tech giant set a new pre-orders record in South Korea, securing the sale of more than 550,000 units in just 2 days. The company announced a few weeks ago that it would expect some 400,000 pre-orders for their new flagships, but that was for the whole pre-sales campaign (April 7 – April 17). They reached and passed their goal in less than 2 days.
Now the company looks very confident with the US pre-sales campaign. The officials didn’t specific pre-order numbers, but they are seeing “strong double digit growth” in comparison with Galaxy S7 results.
Interestingly, Samsung says that “the majority of US consumers have been selecting the Galaxy S8+”, so the 6.2-inch model wins the popularity contest against the 5.8-inch S8. This also proves that Samsung was right to change the production ratio in favor of the Galaxy S8+ model.
