Samsung cut Galaxy S4 orders in half for July

According to ETNEWS Samsung will decrease orders for Galaxy S4 from 12.2 million units in May down to a 6.5 million in July. This happens a week after Samsung CEO JK Shin expressed confidence in the sales of the smartphones.

After a strong launch Samsung are unexpectedly facing a withering interest in the Galaxy S4, with a saturated market and a Galaxy S3 still in strong demand playing key factors in the situation. Perhaps Samsung will consider dropping life support for the S3 earlier, as to not clash with its considerably more powerful successor.

The Galaxy S4 was a smashing success at launch, selling 10 million units just 26 days after its April reveal.
