It looks like commisioner Neelie Kroes is having a hard time keeping up with those roaming bills too, because her highness is currently lobbying before the European Parliament for removal of roaming taxes as early as next year’s Easter. At the moment roaming rates in Europe cannot be higher than 0.29 euro for outgoing and 0.08 euro for incoming calls, and in June they are falling further – 0.19 for outgoing and 0.05 for incoming. Mobile data roaming rates will also fall from 0.70 to 0.40 euro per megabyte, but all prices exclude VAT.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for mrs. Kroes. No more roaming taxes sounds too good to be true, but who knows.Source: GSMArena
