Since their acquisition of ATI, AMD have been steadily expanding the Radeon brand into different types of technology with the possible vision of entirely AMD-branded computers. Their latest forray are Radeon-branded SSD drives. Not much is known at this point in regards to capacities and pricing, and their eventual manufacturers currently remain a mistery. However, AMD are not new to dealing with memory modules, as they have been selling Radeon-branded memory blocks for personal computers for a while.
Could we eventually see an AMD PC or notebook, or even mobile gadgets? It’s a question of time, but remember, time equals money, and the chip-maker has been struggling lately in the financial department.
