Qualcomm announced their new Snapdragon 400 CPU. It’s a quad-core chip capable of both 3G and 4G internet. The chip’s oriented towards mid-range devices and features emerging market staples such as dual-SIM support and Qualcomm’s own QuickCharge technology which allows for 40% faster battery charging.
The company has readied a reference design for tablets with 7 and 10-inch displays. Expect to see them by year’s end. Meanwhile, we expect the first devices with Qualcomm’s uber-powered Snapdragon 800 CPU in the autumn. The first of these should be LG‘s Optimus G2.Source: TalkAndroid
