Moto X4 was supposed to be released on June 30th, but due to a chipset supply problem from Qualcomm, Lenovo had to make a change of plans.
According to previous rumors, Qualcomm couldn’t provide enough Snapdragon 660 chipsets and because of that Lenovo might have to postpone Moto X4’s release. We’re not certain that that was the reason, but surely no Moto X4 was introduced on June 30.
But it seems that Moto X4 may be arriving sooner that we expect. Evan Blass posted a press friendly render of Moto X4, hinting that the release date is near. Blass doesn’t say anything about this, but we think that Moto X4 might be ready for launch.

Prior to this leak, Evan Blass (@evleaks) shared some new information about Moto X4, too. According to him, Moto X4 will not be equipped with Snapdragon 660 chipsets, but with Snapdragon 630.
Also, Moto X4 will get 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage, that being the maxed out configuration. The phone will sport 5.2-inch Full HD display, fingerprint scanner at the front and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Moto X4 feature a dual camera at the back (12MP+8MP) and a 16 MP selfie snapper at the front. The phone is IP68 certified so its water and dust resistant.
