Telekom Romania and hub:raum, Deutsche Telekom’s incubator program, support How to Web conference, the most important event dedicated to innovation and technology and entrepreneurship from South Eastern Europe, which will take place on November 20th and 21st in Bucharest.

Telekom Romania brand stands, first of all, for innovation. We believe in new ideas, that can change the way in which we use technology, this is why we are supporting How to Web, which brings together  the most important names from technology and entrepreneurship areas, stated Olaf Lausen, Chief of Staff and Business Development, Telekom Romania group of companies.

Within the common stand, hub:raum launches in premiere a new concept for pitching: a photo booth adapted by Amelie Photo booth, to record the presentation of any start-up willing to apply to hub:raum financing programs.

Participants at How to Web which represent a start-up can record a video of up to 90 seconds within which they shortly describe the idea that they want to apply with to the hub:raum ‘s acceleration and financing programs. All recordings, that necessarily need to have the contact details of participants, will be assessed after the event, and the start-ups which qualify for the following assessment steps will be invited to present their idea in front of hub:raum representatives.

Innovation means to find new uses to common objects. In this case, we decided to use a photo booth adapted to record and process video content, a premiere in Romania when it comes to applications. The pitch box is a friendly and ingenious idea to encourage the start-ups to apply to hub:raum programs. The most important thing for those who want to start a business is to know that we support them and that we make available for them the most practical and efficient ways to promote their ideas, thus increasing the chances to access an investment, stated Cosmin Ochisor, Business Developer, hub:raum.

Telekom Romania supports innovation and entrepreneurship through the partnership with Tech Hub Bucharest and through different initiatives developed within Deutsche Telekom group. Telekom Romania group of companies was involved in 2014 in the “Telekom Innovation Contest” and “Business Wall of Fame” international competitions, where over 100 applications were submitted.
