You can add the following photo to the endless lineup of rumours about Apple‘s next flagship smartphone(s). What we’re looking at is reportedly the iPhone 5S’ motherboard housing the next-generation A7 CPU. It is speculated that this is a quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz with a quad-core PowerVR SGX554MP4 GPU – the same beast is inside the iPad 4. Memory is pegged at 2GB, but with a decrease in its frequency – it will be clocked at 800MHz, instead 1066MHz as the iPhone 5’s 1GB block.
While the photo looks pretty convincing, we advise you to keep a salt shaker around when you read iPhone rumors.
