Finally, Facebook’s newest mobile app, Paper, is now available, for free, on the iPhone in the US. Combining the regular Facebook feed with news from different sources, with a totally different new design from the standart one, this app should be the app that you’ve always wanted on Facebook.
Incorporating news from different sources, similar to what Flipboard app does, with Paper app you can add categories in order to get a list of content with your favorite posts and articles that will flip open like a newspaper.
Regarding the UI, it barely looks like the standard Facebook app. It brings horizontal scrolling, with large cards at the bottom that you can swipe through and, by tapping them, you will see them filling the screen. At the same time, you can Like, comment or share them as you would on the standard Facebook app, with a Facebook Messenger built-into it as well.
For the moment, Paper app is available only in the USA. With this new and innovative Paper app, on its way to become the best Facebook app ever, FiftyThree, the developer of a designing tool for iPad, called… Paper as well, ask politely that Facebook should stop using their brand name. Facebook has declined to comment at this time, after apologizing last week for the ‘confusion’.
