Next week, HMD Global will launch its first smartphone to have a notch screen, thus joining a trend started by Apple, with their iPhone X, and that it does no longer surprises us, as almost all Android smartphone makers are following it. Among the big names, only the market leader, Samsung has kept itself way from this trend until now.
Nokia X is going to be HMD’s first smartphone to feature a notch in the screen and it just received certification for the Chinese market and we were able to confirm the official specs. It’s going to be unveiled officially next week, on Wednesday, May 16th.
Until then, we still have the opportunity to see it again, this time in a set of real-world photos taken in what looks to be a showroom. At least that’s what we believe looking at the setup in which Nokia X was photographed.
Despite the notched on the screen, I would say that Nokia X looks quite nice. Probably this is thanks to the experience of Finnish designers. Even though HMD is a new company, it was founded by former Nokia employees, some of them spending even more than 20 year within the company.
