Nokia 2 is become more and more a fixed point in HMD Global’s agenda for the second half of the year. This will definitely be the cheapest Nokia smartphone of the year, as its specs are believed to be extremely modest.
Now a first set of unofficial renders have popped up in China and it depicts a not to impressive, but in line with HMD’s designs. Also, the source of these renders claims to know/guessed the main specs of Nokia 2.
According to the source, Nokia 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 212 chipset, but this was already revealed by the list of chipsets that will equip the next Nokia-branded smartphones that will be launched until the end of the year, that emerged on the web, about three weeks ago and by its alleged appearance at Geekbench.
As the listings on Geekbench, the new source also claims that Nokia 2 will had only 1 GB of RAM, but also says it’ll have 8 GB internal storage, which in my opinion it could prove to be insuficient. Most likely, like to already introduce Nokia 3, 5 and 6, it’ll feature a microSD card slot. Hopefully, cause 8 GB is really small nowadays.
Also, the source says Nokia 2 will have a 4.7-inch HD display, an 8 MP main camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper and it’ll pe delivered with Android 7.0 Nougat on board.
If the specs list will be confirmed, than I estimate that Nokia 2 should not have a price tag higher that $150, most likely, it’ll be priced at $120-$130. But that’s just a personal guess.
