In the chinese social (socialist?) network Wei Feng are circling rumours that the next iPhone‘s display will feature two times the pixel density of the iPhone 5, while sporting a thinner bezel. Presently, the iPhone 5 display has 730 000 pixels and 326ppi density. If the 4-inch display shifts to the next iPhone, then the panel will hit 1.5 million pixels and 460ppi. The resolution will climb to something like 1607×905. So, if Apple want to compete equally with 5-inch 1080p Android flagships, then the screen size will have to grow to 4.2 inches.
The next iPhone should start production next month for a September reveal. Better ready your umbrellas folks, as many leaks are expected.Source: Phone Arena via GSMArena
