Hold on to your last-year’s devices just a little bit longer, Apple fans. According to KGI Securities analyst Min-Chi Kuo, Apple will announce iPhone 5S, a cheaper version of the iPhone and iOS 7 in June, and is suggested to start offering them in July. Kuo says both new iPhones will support LTE, but the 5S will get all the latest Apple tech such as A7 CPU, Smart Flash and fingerprint sensor integrated in the Home button. The iPhone-on-a-budget will be made of fiberglass and plastic, likely a bit heavier than the 5S’s slim aluminium build, but easier to manufacture in different colors.
As for the next iPad, Rene Ritchie from iMore suggests Apple will unveil them in April. It is possible Apple will release beefed-up iPad and iPad mini and hold off introducing the iPad mini Retina for the fall.
