Motorola’s website has outed the Moto X Developer Edition. This will be sold separately from the Moto X Google Play edition. Apparently both will feature identical software, that is, a clean Android build with some Motorola goodies latched onto it. Which pretty much turns them into a full-price contract-less Moto X. The difference in the dev edition is that it has 32GB storage on tap, and it has an unlockable bootleader. Of course, if you dare unlock it, your warranty will be compromised. But you are a developer, right? You aren’t afraid of such mishaps. Or of dragons, even.
The price of said editions will gravitate around $600.Source: Phone Arena
