It comes to no surprise that Microsoft are already working on new versions of their firstborn tablet. According to the rumours, the Microsoft Surface RT2 will be an 8.6-incher sporting a Qualcomm chipset. As for Surface Pro, it’s possible MS will ditch Intel’s core chips in favour of AMD and their latest creation, an APU codenamed “Temash”. Scheduled to launch in 2013, this SoC will feature two 28nm CPU’s and a graphics core. The screen will be ‘professionally’ bigger with 11.6 inches.
As if that isn’t enough, a third Surface device is rumoured – a Surface Book with a 14.6-inch screen and a Haswell chipset by Intel. These are expected in the second quarter of 2013.
Looks like Microsoft are enthusiastic about expanding as a hardware maker and seem to be on a roll in 2013.
