Microsoft finally has decided to replace the Nokia Lumia brand, one year after the aquisition was first announced. Totally unpredictable, the future devices will be named Microsoft Lumia and stamped with the plain black version of the company’s logo.
The SVP of Marketing for Phones explains that Microsoft will also announce its first own-brand Lumia device soon, but until then, Microsoft will probably take advantage of the fact that in Europe and in developing markets people rely more on the Nokia brand than of the Microsoft’s.
If the Microsoft Lumia devices don’t sell, there is always Nokia Lumia to do that. Not always, at least until all the people find out that Nokia no longer exists and that Microsoft owns it now.Source: engadget
