LTE-equipped Chromebook Pixel will be available in April

Google has updated the Chromebook Pixel‘s Play store page with information that an LTE-enabled version of the device will ship to US customers by 8 April. Fast connectivity takes its financial toll in the shape of a $150 premium adding to a final price of $1149. However, you will also gain an additional 32GB of storage space – 64GB in total. US operator Verizon will offer 100MB of free data a month and monthly data plans ranging from $20 for 1GB to $50 for 5GB.

The Chromebook Pixel seems like a mighty fine laptop. Especially if you install Windows 7 on it. Sorry, dear Google – Chrome OS has a long way to go before it ships with computers of this quality and price.
