Last year’s rumor about LG spying on Samsung developing their very own 8-core big.Little-based CPU have advanced. The Korean Times reported that the project has a code name Odin and it will be featured in LG’s holiday flagship Optimus G2. The smartphone could be shown at the IFA event this fall while LG fans in Europe are toying around with the enhanced Optimus G.
According to the KTimes, LG are utilising the same 4 Cortex A15/ 4 Cortex A7 cores configuration as Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa. The Odin chip will be manufactured in a 28nm process by chip making veterans TSMC.
