According to GottaBeMobile.com three different sources are pointing to the same rumor – LG is making a contextually-aware smartphone with support for always-on voice commands. The notion of this technology has been in the talks ever since Motorola CEO dropped the bomb that the unannounced Moto X smartphone in his pocket is contextually aware. And Microsoft made a demonstration of such technology at the Xbox One announcement.
The voice commands will act across the entire OS, not limited to searching, apps and dictation.
The upcoming Snapdragon 800 CPU has native support for always-on voice commands so it’s not hard to imagine how this tech will be standard for next-generation smartphones. Perhaps the Moto X and the Optimus G2 will be the first to carry the flag.Source: Android Authority
