According to The Korea Times, by year’s end LG will begin supplying its clients with flexible OLED displays for mobile devices. The company has confirmed to CNET that mass production and shipping will begin in the second half of 2013. A next-generation technology for cutting glass (hm, but glass isn’t flexible?) will be introduced.
LG are looking to be one of the first, if not the first makers to put flexible displays on the market. The technology is promising – flexible OLED displays are thinner, lighter and more durable. They will allow for bendable devices that follow your body’s movements and sit more comfortably inside your pocket.Source: CNET
