Lenovo announce ThinkPad T431s

Lenovo welcomes the new ThinkPad T431s to its T-series ultraportables. The laptop has a 14-inch display with 1600×900 resolution bendable to 180 degrees, 1.5kg weight with the omission of a DVD-RW being the obvious culprit, and a refined touchpad. Hardware-wise we have the usual Intel Ivy Bridge chipset with integrated graphics. 3G and 4G support is included on optional basis. While a 12-inch version is in the works, the 14-incher will debut in April with the base model priced at $949. This will net you a dual-core Core-i5-3337U CPU, 4GB RAM, 320GB 5400 RPM HDD and either Windows 7 or 8. The battery is supposed to last 9 hours, but that’s something we need to see with our own eyes to believe.
