Leica has launched its first waterproof photo camera

Leica has launched the X-U photo camera, the company’s first waterproof camera, so now you won’t feel bad or destroyed if you sink the photo camera in an up to 15 meters deep water.

Leica costs almost $3000, and at this price you get an APS-C 16.5 megapixels sensor, 23 mm fixed lens, f1.7 aperture, the possibility of full HD video recording and a 3-inch LCS screen to replace the lack of the viewfinder.

Parts of Leica X-U are made out of aluminum, the body is created from a thermoplastic anti-slip material, the screen is protected by a cover, and the control buttons are integrated in the body, so that no water or sand particles are allowed inside.
