It seems that the most anticipated smartphone feature of the year might not be delivered not even by Apple on its 10th anniversary iPhone.
A few months ago most rumors said that Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 will both feature in-display fingerprint scanners. Well, it seems it’s still a very difficult task for everybody, as the technology was completely polish, thus it ain’t ready for commercial use.
Last week we noted that Apple might have given up on installing an embedded fingerprint scanner and now Forbes has some news about this matter. The American publication says it’s got its hands on iPhone 8’s schematics and made a 3D model.
As you can see from the pictures, the model follows precisely the rumors and is similar with other renders that have surface lately. The one thing that’s very strange and Forbes pointed out, is the elongated Power button which might house the fingerprint scanner.
It wouldn’t be a first, because Sony has installed such a scanner on its Xperia X released last year.
Judging by its reputation, we like to think that Forbes has reliable sources. Still, we advise that it would be wiser to wait for some sort of confirmation.
