It seems that integrating a fingerprint scanner into the screen is a difficult task even for Apple. Samsung missed the opportunity to install such a feature on its Galaxy S8 smartphones and now rumors suggests that iPhone 8 might not get it either.
The latest rumors suggest that Apple decided to move its Touch ID scanner on the back of the phone. Previous rumors said if Apple wanted to get the scanner embedded in the display it might have to postpone the release of the anniversary iPhone due to integration difficulties.
Some alleged schematics of iPhone 8 shows where Apple decided to place the fingerprint scanner. It is in the mid-section which is a much better area than the one Samsung chose for its Galaxy S8, right next to the camera.
