Intel open mobile division headed by Mike Bell

Intel’s reorganisation work has resulted in the opening of a new division. Headed by Mike Bell, this division will be developing mobile technology and everything related to ultrabooks, smartphones, tablets and vice versa.

Mike Bell has pretty serious credibility in this sector. He spent 16 years in Apple and worked on the original iPhone, and before he went to Intel, he helped the now defunct Palm develop some gadgets.

This new division will probably spearhead the development of mobile CPUs and GPUs at Intel, which might help the maker gather some momentum in the industry dominated by Qualcomm.
